AEMC Introduces Full Function, Professional 5000V Graphical Insulation Tester with Automatic Report Generation
The Megohmmeter Model 5070 is the only fully automated 5000V graphical
insulation tester. It provides insulation measurements to 10000Gohm
(10Tohm). Test results include DAR, PI, DD, Capacitance, Leakage Current as
well as programmable temperature correction of resistance readings.
The Model 5070 also offers the ability to program up to three step voltage
profiles (40 to 5100V), each containing up to five steps. The Model 5070 has
an RS-232 interface and an extensive memory function, which permits storage
results in files specific to the device under test. The Model 5070 can be
fully programmed and controlled by a PC. Includes DataView Lite software
for data storage, analysis and report generation.

Emerson Adds Astec 75-Watt Model to Popular Surface-Mount Point-of-Load (POL) DC/DC Converter Family
Emerson Network Power has added a new 75-Watt model to its popular Astec surface-mount product line of point-of-load (POL) DC/DC converters. With an input voltage range of 10VDC to 14VDC, the new APC18 models provide up to 18 Amps (A) of regulated power with efficiency as high as 92 percent. The devices feature an industry-standard, surface-mount (SMT) footprint only 1.3 inches long by 0.53 inches wide. The device is only 0.35 inches high.
The flexible single-output APC18 devices offer adjustable external resistor programming that enables a single part number to provide a selected output voltage from 0.75VDC to 5.5VDC with regulation to within 3 percent. For added flexibility, each unit has its own enable pin to allow for sequential activation. Every unit has built-in overcurrent and overtemperature protection, with auto-recovery.
The temperature range of –40 to +85 degrees Celsius makes the APC series suitable for use in extreme environments as well as for applications such as data and telecommunications.
