Leviton Integrated Networks Recognizes CompTIA HTI+ Certification
Leviton is pleased to announce that home technology integrators who have earned CompTIA HTI+ certification can become certified Leviton Integrated Networks installers without having to attend the Structured Wiring Essentials course previously required to attain the competency and its credentials. CompTIA HTI+ installers can become certified Leviton Integrated Networks installers by attending the Structured Wiring Planning and Installation session of the Leviton Integrated Networks training program. Additional information on the training program can be obtained at www.leviton.com/getcertified.
“Leviton Integrated Networks waived mandatory attendance at the ‘Essentials’ portion of its training program based on the best practices and knowledge required to earn CompTIA HTI+ certification,” said Brian A Earl, National Director of Sales and Training for Leviton Integrated Networks. “We believe that CompTIA HTI+ certification is a valid indicator of mastery of essential best practices in the integration of home-based systems,” he added.
The Leviton Integrated Networks Certification Installation Partner Program provides assurance to builders and homeowners that their structured cabling systems have been properly designed with quality components and that it has been installed using the industry’s best installation practices. Leviton and its installation partners warranty that the system’s passive structured cabling components and cables will operate reliably and trouble-free for 20 years, providing they are tested and certified in accordance with Leviton’s guidelines or those of its Certification Program partners.
To earn HTI+ certification, candidates must pass two exams demonstrating competency in the foundational knowledge required to design, install, and maintain home networks. These networks can include computers, televisions, audio systems, security systems, lighting systems, telecommunications, and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.
Leviton Integrated Networks is the residential structured cabling and home networking division of Leviton Manufacturing Company, Inc., the largest privately held manufacturer of electrical and electronic devices in North America and the leader in structured wiring as ranked by Builder Magazine for the past three years.
