AEMC Introduces Personal Voltage Safety Detector
The Personal Voltage Detector Model 44SVD is designed to detect high voltage
from 2.5kV and up without physical contact. It detects 44kV from up to 30 ft away.
As the Model 44SVD is moved closer to the voltage-carrying conductor its AC
sensor plate picks up the radiated electric field. The electric field is amplified and processed by the internal circuitry. Once the processed signal is above the threshold, it triggers the input of an integrated circuit, which turns on both the buzzer and LED.
The rugged pocket sized case has a built-in clip to attached to outer clothing or a belt.

AEMC Introduces Non-Contact High Voltage Detector
The Model 280HVD is designed to detect the presence of high voltage, a range
of 80V to 275kV, without physical contact.
A ten position rotary switch selects the detection range. As the lightweight sensor is moved closer to the voltage-carrying conductor, its sensor head picks up the radiated electric field.
Once the range threshold is reached, audible and visual indicators warn the operator of live conductors. A universal spline on the back-end facilitates attachment to any standard hot stick.

Gen/Tran Introduces One and Two-Circuit Manual Transfer Switches for Portable Generators
Gen/Tran Corporation (www.gen-tran.com) recently introduced a line of one and two-circuit manual transfer switches that enable consumers and business owners to safely power their most important appliances during a power outage. The new transfer switches are available in one- and two-pole configurations for 20, 30 and 50 amp 120 volt or 120/240 volt applications, and are intended for generators from 2500 watts to 12,500 watts.
