Extech Instruments Announces Photo/Contact Tachometer with Infrared (IR) Thermometer 
Extech Instruments announces its new photo/contact tachometer, Model RPM10. This unique device includes a built-in, non-contact InfraRed (IR) thermometer with laser pointer that provides fast and easy surface temperature measurements ranging from -4 to 572 oF (-20 to 300 oC) in locations that are unsafe or hard to reach.
The RPM10 features a 6:1 field of view, allowing a 1” spot to be measured at a distance of 6”.
In the photo mode, Extech’s RPM10 utilizes a laser light source and measures 10 to 99,999 rpm from up to 6.5 ft from the target. In the contact mode, it measures from 0.5 to 20,000 rpm, while linear surface speed measurements range from 0.2 to 6560 ft/min, and 0.05 to 1999.9 m/min. Measurements are accurate to 0.05% with max resolution of 0.1 rpm in either the photo or contact mode.

Leviton Expands Commercial Grade Tamper-Resistant Receptacles Line with Popular Decora Model

Greenlee Unveils 430-500 Foot Poly Line
Greenlee's Poly Line now comes in a convenient new 500-foot cylinder. This new container size poly line is very convenient for directly pulling smaller electrical and communications wire where long lengths are not needed. The smaller containr sie is perfect for use on service trucks where storage space is limited.
"The 430-500 foot poly line can be blown into conduit and then used to pull in a large pulling rope, or it can be used directly for pulling smaller wires," said Jim Eisele, product manager. "It's also rot and mildew resistant."
The 430-500 foot poly line is the same 210-pound (934N) braking strength line used in the large buckets. It comes in a tube with pre-punched hole for dispensing the line without it getting tangled.
Greenlee Launches ES85 Battery-Powered Communication Cable Cutter
The new Greenlee ES85 makes the task of cutting large communications cable simple and very easy. The ES85 features a heavy-duty motor for long life and extra sharp hardended blades make cuts that don't pull individual wires and don't crush the cable. Ech cut takes only about 8 seconds. Telephone companies and contractors who are installing or removing underground and overhead telephone cables primarily use the ES85.
Simply place the cable in the jaw opening, swing the cutting blade into place, and pull the trigger. Cables up to 3-1/4" are cut cleanly with minimal distoration. The ES85 is capable of making approximately 90 cuts of 1800 pair 24 AWG cable per battery charge. The forward/reverse lever and the trigger on the ES85 are all opeated iwth one hand.
