Fluke Engineers Combine Two Tools Into One, Introduce the First True Insulation Multimeters
Fluke Corporation has combined the capabilities of two frequently used test tools into one compact new tool – the insulation multimeter. The Fluke 1587 and 1577 Insulation Multimeters combine a 1 kV digital insulation tester with a full-featured true-rms digital multimeter in a single, compact, handheld device that weighs 1 lb. and easily fits in a toolbox or on a tool belt.
Easy to use with a simple interface, the 1587 provides insulation resistance testing up to 2 GΩ, with five output voltages ranging from 50 V to 1000 V, while the 1577 tests up to 600 MΩ of resistance with either 500 or 1000 V. A new remote test probe enables one-handed insulation testing via a trigger on the probe handle. Insulation testing is disabled if the meters are connected to a live circuit with more than 30 volts. Following testing, the meters automatically discharge all capacitive voltage from the equipment under test to help prevent accidental shocks.

ICC Announces New Bezels for Hinged Doors for our 14”, 21”, & 28” Enclosures
ICC announces hinged doors with bezels for our 14”, 21”, & 28” sized residential enclosures. These bezels are made from 18 gage steel and are 1 & 1/8 th “ wide which makes them an ideal solution to cover jagged or excessive drywall cuts. They are reversible and will be mounted to the enclosures with 7 included screws. The bezels will have rounded corners and are painted a glossy white, same as the doors, giving them a clean finished appearance.
Thomas & Betts Ranger® Cord Fittings Redesigned for Easier Installation
The Thomas & Betts Ranger Aluminum Cord and Cable Fittings are used to terminate portable cord into enclosures. The new hex gland nut is easier to grip with pliers or channel locks, helping to minimize slipping and resultant scarring of the nut. The enhanced Ranger Cord and Cable Fittings also feature a unique splined design that enables installers to use a screwdriver to tighten the fittings in restricted spaces.
All Thomas & Betts Ranger Cord and Cable Fittings have a beveled moisture- and oil-resistant synthetic rubber bushing system for exceptional sealing performance. The bushing is clearly marked with the cable range, so users can identify the correct size even after the fitting is taken out of its box. The new aluminum fittings are offered in nine sizes, from 1/2" to 1". Each fitting is fully assembled for fast and easy installation with no lost parts.
Thomas & Betts Ranger Cord and Cable fittings also are available in steel/iron and nonmetallic materials.
