AutomationDirect ® Launches Edison Fuse Line

AutomationDirect has launched the Edison line of fuse products. AutomationDirect is pleased to carry the most popular Current Limiting Class CC and the Class M Midget general purpose fuses for industrial control applications.

The Class CC current limiting fuses are available in both time-delay and fast-acting models. The CC line is recognized for NEC branch circuit protection and Type 2 coordinated applications for IEC or NEMA starters/contactors. Fuses are time-delay branch circuit rated for 600 VAC, with ampere ratings from 0.25 to 30 amps and an interrupting rating of 200,000 RMS symmetrical amps. Fuses in the Class M series have voltage ratings from 250 to 600 VAC, in ampere ratings from 0.5 to 50 amps, and an interrupting rating of 100,000 RMS amps. All fuses are standard 11/32”x 1-1/2” size.

Companion DIN rail mount fuse holders feature multiple-pole configurations, finger-safe protection, and are constructed of a self-extinguishing polyester material that is UL 94V-0 rated. Panel-mount fuse blocks are a pressure plate type with quick disconnect, and tin-plated bronze clips.

EnergyBlock Helps Builders & Remodelers Reduce Energy Loss & Mold Buildup in Residential & Commercial Properties

The EnergyBlock is a simple, inexpensive block of foam insulation, specifically molded to fit perfectly around standard electrical boxes. According to research by North Dakota State University in Fargo, EnergyBlock saves up to $50 in energy loss per year. Electricians can finish the total installation in less than 2 minutes per box and it easily meets the International Building Code for flame spread and smoke development.

EnergyBlock is sealed after rough wiring is complete so there is no chance of breaking the seal. Another unique aspect of the EnergyBlock is that it provides a solid R-10 insulation behind the outlet everytime, also reducing chance of mold forming due to moist inside air escaping and condensing on an exterior wall.

New MEIU (MPRT Epoch Interface Unit)

The new MEIU (MPRT Epoch Interface Unit) interconnects a Megger MPRT with a Multi-Amp Epoch II or Epoch 20 unit for specialized testing capability.

The new MEIU is a very small (approximately 6” square) interconnect device which allows the Megger MPRT to control either a Multi-Amp high power Epoch II or Epoch 20 unit. Employing such a device adds high-current, high voltage-ampere output capability to the MPRT relay test set, when test requirements demand higher test current and output power.

Also, under this configuration the user employing the MPRT can operate the Epoch II or 20 unit manually using the MPRT TouchView Interface (TVI) or automatically using Megger AVTS Software.

Used with a three-channel MPRT, the MEIU interface unit also allows the user to manually control up to 3 Epoch II/20 units for special applications such as testing multi-terminal current differential relay with 6 currents.
