Bosch Expands Application Focused Reciprocating

Saw Blades to 60
Electricians, Plumbers, HVAC and Metalworking Professionals Benefit From Faster More Durable Metal Cutting Blades

Bosch has expanded its application focused professional reciprocating saw blade line to 60 blades in heavy, demolition and standard user categories. For electricians, plumbers, HVAC and metalworking professionals, in particular, new faster and more durable clean and heavy metal reciprocating saw blades mean time and money saved with Bosch.

There is no question; selecting the correct accessory for the application means faster and better results. And with a focus on application, Bosch recognizes that faster and better results means more profits for the professionals using them. The new Bosch reciprocating saw blade line specifically addresses three basic user categories: heavy-use, demolition and standard. And to help make the selection process even simpler, it has expanded its user-friendly color coding and labeling system to blue for metal, gray for wood, white for all-purpose and wood with nails, dark blue for demo and black for specialty application blades.

Focusing deeper into each blade line, Heavy Blade users, such as electricians, plumbers, HVAC and metalworking professionals, look for the fastest and most accurate cut possible. And when able to utilize Specialty Blades for particular applications, professionals truly benefit. The line’s aggressive 2x2 tooth geometry includes alternating sets of two tooth sizes and reinforced teeth for greater cutting efficiency, up to 20-percent faster than the leading competitor in metal, such as strut, and longer life. Furthermore, patented Progressive tooth patterns allow each Bosch PROGRESSOR® blade to handle varying material thickness with tooth size decreasing towards the shank, so users don’t need to switch out accessories. Thicker and taller blades provide straighter cuts with less vibration and long life. Carbide teeth on specialty blades tackle abrasive applications such as stainless steel, cement board/fiber/plaster and cast iron/block.

The abusive effort surrounding demolition work requires a tough long lasting blade. The expanded Bosch Demolition Blade line offers the thickest blade body at .062 inches, adding stability, durability and smoother cuts. Aggressive 2x2 tooth geometry and reinforced teeth make each blade faster and last longer. Additionally, a 5/8 variable teeth per inch (TPI) and reinforced tooth structure enhance the speed and life of each Wood with Nails blade. For General Demolition blades, .05-inch thickness and 10/14 variable tooth pitch optimizes each blades’ ability to cut multiple materials sandwiched together, such as drywall and metal or wood framing. And in situations where low light may slow work down, the patented glow-in-the-dark coating of the Bosch Rescue and Demolition blade makes it the perfect choice for tackling all types of materials and situations, whether in an emergency or not.

New Bosch Demolition Blades include:
•       Demolition for Wood with Nails: 6, 9, and 12 -inch lengths at 5/8 TPI
•       Demoltion for Metal: 6 and 9 -inch lengths at 8+10 TPI

The final category, the Bosch Standard Blade line, offers a thinner more flexible solution. Perfectly applicable in wood, wood with nails, all purpose and metal cutting jobs, these thin and flexible blades cut fast and are usually purchased in bulk for less discretionary use.
