EgressLite, LLC, has nnounced availabioity of the SentryLight recessed emergency lighting fixtures for residences. Now home owners can benefit from the same emergency lighting required in commercial buildings, while still maintaining the aesthetic appea of the interior design. SentryLight automatically provides bright, even illumination during an AC power failure and can enable safe egress from a home during an emergency or fire.

During power losses, the lens housing automatically extends outward from behind the cover plate. Instantly energized, the dual-lamp light source provides lighting for hours. When AC power is restored the light sources is extinguished and the lens housing returns to the closed position ... hidden from sight.

Designed to look similar to a standard light switch plate, SentryLight is the world's first compact, fully-recessed, residential and commercail emergency lighting sltuion on the market today.

The remote fixtures can also be easily integrated into a home security system. When the fire alarm is activated, the units will light the escape path for residents during a fire (a residential fire starts every 0 seconds in the US). If the burglar alarm is activated, the lights will power on and deter intrusion.

SentryLight is ADA certified since its lens housing extends less than 4" from the wall and will not impede wheelchair passage. The emergency lighting recentrly received UL924 certification, having passed rigorous emergiency lighting testing by Underwriter's Laboratories (UL).

The EgressLite self contained battery unit (6 volt and 12 volt hatteries are avialable) with two 5.4 watt Xenon bulbs. A self-test LED button indicated that the unit s operating properly. The unit measures 10" x 5.5" x 3.5".
