Watching electricians install a device in 10-15 seconds as compared to 1-2 minutes is what Cheetah Speed System is all about. “Time is money,” stated David Clare, VP Cheetah USA Corp, “Ask any electrician what their most labor-intensive job is – the thing they hate the most – and they’re going to say ‘the screws’. Proprietary Assembly Mechanism

The patented Cheetah Speed “System” includes three components:

• Cheetah Speed Boxes (with Cheetah Speed Anchor Slots)
• Cheetah Devices (receptacles, switches, dimmers, gfci, datacom) preassembled with Cheetah Speed Anchors

• Cheetah Screw-less Wall plates (that snap into Cheetah Speed devices )

The patented Cheetah Speed Box is available in 1-4 gang standard and Big-A sizes and supports metal stud, mixed voltage. Cheetah also provides box extenders (mud rings, spark rings, etc.) and datacom and ceiling boxes. They meet all UL specifications (Nonmetallic Outlet Boxes UL514C, Flammability) and are designed to receive Cheetah Speed devices.

Cheetah Speed Devices (certified to UL standards) are duplex and designer receptacles, toggle and designer switches, dimmers, gfci, data/voice, etc. devices come pre-assembled with Cheetah speed anchors fastened to a patent-pending plastic safety yoke (non-flammable, non-conductive dielectric plastic strap molded to the device). The Cheetah speed devices simply push into Cheetah Speed Boxes certified up to 50 lbs. pull test. The patented Cheetah dielectric strap has four special holes to receive the Cheetah screw-less wall pates.

The Screw-less Cheetah Wall plates are made of high quality lexan polycarbonate non-breakable material. The Cheetah Wall plates simply snap into the Cheetah Device (receptacle, switch, etc.) that fasten to the Cheetah Speed Box. The way the device fits into the Cheetah box and the Wall plate fastens to the device ensures that the device and wall plate are always flush to the wall.

Jeff Densley, who works for electrical contracting firm Salt Lake City Electric, uses the product on residential jobs. “The greatest thing about it is how much time it saves me on my finish work. It cuts my finish work time in half. I love the switches because you do not have to use grounding screws – there is no metal yoke to short against.”

Steve Sanders, of JJS Electric in Salem, Utah, says, “After trying their new product, I’ve used it ever since because it’s quick, easy, and reliable.” Sanders almost exclusively uses the product in new home construction. “We’ve had it in homes for about six months, and I haven’t had any callbacks.”

With time savings as the biggest advantage, the prices of Cheetah products are very competitive with the current screw-based products on the market. “In a cost comparison we conducted over about six states, we found that the total costs to install Cheetah Screw-less home décor for a 2000-sq-ft home was $11-$15 more. Electricians can easily up-sell this to homeowners - who love the screw-less look and also realize the enormous labor savings, which means more profits in their pockets. It is a win-win for the electrician,” said David Clare, VP Cheetah USA.

“With electricians constantly asked to lower their bids, labor is where these electricians are either making it or breaking it - not on product margins.”

Questions & Answers

Q: If I install the Cheetah Speed System boxes, can I use standard screw devices?
A: Yes, just insert the speed anchors (sold separately) and screw away!

Q: If a device fails, how do I replace it?
A: Just unscrew the device from the speed anchors (device comes out, but the speed anchors stay in place), use a pen or screw driver and punch through the speed anchors (just falls into the wall) and insert a new cheetah speed device (with speed anchor pre-assembled).

Q: What if I do not have a Cheetah Speed System device and need to replace the device using a standard screw device?
A: Unscrew the cheetah device, leave the speed anchors in place, and use any standard screw device to screw into the speed anchors. I can either use a screw wall plate, or when installing the screw device, use our “universal adapter” plate and our screw-less snap and lock wall plates fit just fine.

Q: Does Cheetah have all the devices I need for a complete residential home?
A: Look through the product catalog and you will find we have everything you need. If we are missing a unique device or specialty device, you can always use the standard screw approach with Cheetah Speed boxes. Cheetah USA Corp is actively adding new products on a monthly basis. Our goal is to provide all the residential devices you need for a complete screw-less line of products.

Q: How can I use the Cheetah screw-less wall plates with a standard screw device?
A: We provide a Universal Adapter component that lets you screw in the safety strap over the screw device and then you can just snap in our screw-less wall plates.

Q: Do I require any special tools or training?
A: No.

Q: Are Cheetah Speed System products UL certified?
A: Yes, All Cheetah products have been tested using the most stringent testing standards following the UL specification through OSHA-recognized testing laboratories. Using Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and American National Standards Interface (ANSI) ensures that all products meet and pass minimum requirements for safety.

Q: Any reason why I should not make more money saving time and effort with the new cheetah speed system?

Q: What is the Black Plate that comes with the multi-gang boxes?
A: They are foot plates that are designed to slide into the multi-gang box and fit against the opposite dry wall to give the multi-gang box more strength and stability; yet another nice feature that sets Cheetah apart in quality and performance.
