Transtar® Products Introduces New and Improved Generator Self-test Verifier, GSV300

Dan Bollin, President of Transtar Products, located in Toledo, Ohio, announced today the availability of the new generation of its useful and popular Generator Self-test Verifier, a UL/CA approved, patent pending product designed to evaluate and report results of the regular exercise process undergone by emergency power generators.

The original GSV, introduced in 2004, met a previously unmet need to verify that generators had successfully completed their regular exercise cycle. It determined whether it generated the proper voltage, within a +/- 10% tolerance, and continued to operate for a minimum of two minutes. If any failures occurred, the GSV would immediately report to the proper authorities.

The new model, the GSV300, improves upon its predecessor in several important ways. In addition to the functions of the original GSV, the GSV300 features an LCD display that provides details about critical system tests such as exercise failure, generator start failure, runaway (generator does not shut off properly when power returns), as well as reminders to replace the battery and change the oil.

The GSV300 also provides information on voltage and frequency while the generator is running. Information on total run time, countdown to the next exercise cycle and the number of good and bad runs is also provided. The GSV300 includes four alarm outputs for interfacing with security systems.

According to Bollin, “The success of the original GSV is due to the valuable service it provides to owners of backup generators. A generator is only worthwhile if it works when you need it. The new GSV300 is an improvement due to the fact that it can communicate so much more information to the owner. The GSV300 is field programmable and will work on all generators and all voltages including low run RPM machines.”

BOAR BLADES announces the introduction of a new, revolutionary design of reciprocating saw blades called the Boar Blade(TM)

A BETTER BLADE

Developed by a carpenter who saw a need for greater versatility from a reciprocating saw blade, the Boar Blade has capabilities which no other blade has. There are two bi-metal cutting edges - one 7 teeth per inch and one 10 teeth per inch. The patented rounded nose (tip) makes plunge cuts simple without drilling a start hole. The blades are made from high quality M42 bi-metal steel for hours of cutting through wood, nails, pipe, sheet metal, plastic, and other tough materials. Boar Blades are 1.23mm thick for greater strength and durability under all cutting situations. Three sizes: 6” – 8” – 10”

NO NEED TO CHANGE BLADES

Boar Blades have the patented “double legged” tang for greater strength and cutting ability in the saw. There is no deflection of the blade when cutting in either direction.

The double edged construction allows the saw to stay in the cut and not have to be removed and turned over to cut back the other direction. This permits the technician to cut up and down or back and forth without removing the saw from the cut. Boar Blades save time in all demolition operations: no need to change the blade when you come to nails or metal.

PLUNGE CUTS HOLES

Plunge cuts are easy. By starting the blade parallel to the cutting surface, the saw can be gently rocked up and down- without kickback- and it will cut its’ way through the material without having to drill a hole. Boar Blades are ideal for retrofitting electrical boxes or ventilation systems. Unlike normal blades, Boar Blades can complete the cutout without removing the saw from the opening. Back and forth-up and down..done.

SAVES TIME AND MONEY

Boar Blades were designed for carpenters, remodeling contractors, and demolition technicians who need to work faster and more efficiently to get the job done. As much as 30 minutes per man per day can be saved by not having to change blades, and production levels are increased because the job can be done faster. A single Boar Blade does the work of two conventional blades and for twice as long!

COST EFFECTIVE

Most other reciprocating saw blades come in packages of (5). Boar Blades come in packages of (3) BUT that is the equivalent of (6) single sided blades. Buy (3) get (6) and still save money over conventional blades. Due to the high quality steel used to make Boar Blades they will last longer than other blades on the market.
