All valued added manufacturing and testing takes place under controlled conditions at Cementex’s central facility, headquartered in Burlington, NJ. This allows for total process control to assure that all products are manufactured in accordance with ASTM F1505-01 and IEC 900 Standards for insulated hand tools for compliance with prevailing OSHA, NFPA 70E and NEC Standards. It is important to know that OSHA mandates that “employees working in areas where there are potential electrical hazards shall be provided with, and shall use, electrical protective equipment that is appropriate for the specific parts of the body to be protected and for the work to be performed”. Futher the OSHA Standard states … “each employee shall use insulated tools or handling equipment if the tools or handling equipment might make contact with such conductors or parts”.
Cementex guarantees the mechanical parts of the tool for life, provided they are used for the purpose for which they are intended. The insulation is guaranteed to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of the original shipment by Cementex.
